Space Station Visibility

The International Space Station will be visible in the skies above Cape Town on certain dates and specific times over the next nine days. We are fortunate to have visibility of the ISS during Mark's visit, because over a sixty day period there are only about two weeks in which the ISS passes over during the prerequisite twilight hours

The ISS is brightest when it is 'down sun' , in the portion of the sky opposite the set sun, so the sunlit side of the Space Station is facing ground observers.

The abreviations:

Alt.: Angle above horizon
Az.: Azimuth - compass direction.
